  • How Long Does It Take to Replace a Roof?

A residential roof replacement typically takes one day. A commercial roofing project can vary based on the size and complexity of the project.

  • How Can I Get a Roofing Estimate?

If you’re looking for a roofing estimate on a residential property, you can receive an instant estimate on our website. The time it takes to receive a commercial roofing estimate can depend on the project specifications.

  • Do We Have to Be Out of the House When You Are Replacing the Roof?

Absolutely not! Our roofing projects can be loud, but leaving the property is unnecessary. We do our best to accommodate our clients’ needs.

  • How Do You Calculate the Number of Shingles You Will Need for My Roof?

We calculate how many shingles you’ll need for your roof using a time-tested mathematical formula and standard industry estimating practices.

  • Why Is My Roof Discolored?

Algae and fungal growth can contribute to roof discoloration. In the Savannah climate, which is naturally warm and high in moisture, homeowners might see serious algae growth on areas of the roof that receive less sunlight. When we install new roofs, we often install products with zinc, copper, and other additives that prevent algae growth. Homeowners should also consider enrolling in our Friends and Family program for advanced maintenance and service options.

  • What Kind of Ventilation System Should I Have for My Roof?

There are two types of roof ventilation systems: active and passive.

Active ventilation systems circulate air through and out of your attic through thermostat-controlled fans. An active system is the preferred choice for roof ventilation systems.

A passive ventilation system harnesses the wind to circulate air. The wind enters the attic through the soffits and exits through the ridge vent. The ridge vent uses internal baffles that help vent out hot air and prevent moisture from entering the home.

Flat roofs also offer passive and active ventilation systems. An active system for flat roofs is very similar to the one described above. A passive system uses one-way moisture-release vents that circulate air and prevent moisture.

  • What Material Do You Recommend Using for Siding?

We recommend several different types of siding. We like fiber-cement siding like Hardie Board, along with vinyl siding, because they work well in high-moisture environments like Savannah. A brick veneer and correctly-flashed tabby stucco also provide durable, long-lasting results. Many commercial building owners also prefer EIFS (exterior insulated finish systems). Savannah Roofs, LLC works with property owners who want to install painted or stained wood siding, along with slate, metal, and cedar shake siding.

  • A Storm Damaged My Home. What Is the Turnaround Time for Repairs?

We offer a Friends and Family program that helps property owners prepare in advance for storm damage. Our free program also includes an inspection report that includes important information like replacement cost value estimates, predicted life limits, service and maintenance plans, and more. These regular maintenance sessions are also often a required component of your insurance policy.

Clients can receive a free update on their inspection report every year. Once a storm blows in and damages your home, you’ll receive top priority for emergency tarping and crew access. You’ll receive service faster than our other clients and can rest assured that we’ll schedule your repair or replacement first.

  • I Got My Check From the Insurance Adjuster for Storm Damage, Now What?

If you have a mortgage, then your mortgage company will most likely be included as a party on the check. If that is the case, then you must ensure that the mortgage company endorses the check and disperses the funds to you so that you can pay for the necessary repairs. If you need help with the insurance process, we’ll be there to help!

  • Will You Work With My Insurance Company to Help Me Move Forward With My Roofing Job?

Our team will work with you! We offer assistance in scheduling your insurance adjustment, and we’ll attend as well. We craft a proposal for your insurance adjuster that includes all the necessary line items for repair. Our team does its best to ensure the estimate is accurate and reflects the right cost.

  • What Sets Your Roofing Contractors Apart From Your Competition?

The state of Georgia does not require many contractors to have a roofing license and does not enforce several trade practices. However, we are licensed in multiple states, including Florida, which is well-known for being difficult to earn a roofing license in. Our expertise allowed us to work on several government projects, including federal, state, and local projects.

We also have the ability to pursue many projects that other roofers cannot because we are bonded and can protect our work with general liability, workers’ compensation, and commercial auto insurance coverage. Thanks to our excellent work, we’ve been voted Savannah’s Best Roofer since 2013. Our team has offices in GA, FL, SC, WV, and OH and remains ready to mobilize wherever needed!
